As it was reported before, England's national cricket team's experienced spinner Adil Rashid is not playing today's One Day International match against the Sri Lanka national cricket team at the Riverside Ground.
Further reports claim that Adil Rashid has been ruled out of the entire England vs Sri Lanka ODI series because of an injury to his hand. There is not much detail about his injury, but it seems to be a serious injury as he is reportedly out of the entire three-match ODI series.

Yesterday, it was reported that the spinner had a niggle which might force him to skip the match. After the toss of today's match, Cricbuzz has reported that Rashid has been ruled out of the ODI series. He has an injury in his right arm.

Harry Brook, the white-ball captain of the England cricket team, did not reflect much on the injury of Adil Rashid but said that the pitch at the Riverside Ground looked dry as the English summer was hotter than usual.
"It looks dry. We've had a warm summer, so they probably haven't been able to get as much water on it as they would have liked. But we'll see how it plays in the first half," Harry Brook said. After winning the toss, Brook elected to bat first.
In place of Rashid, the England cricket team has named Rehan Ahmed as his substitute. A like-for-like substitution in the playing eleven against Sri Lanka.
