After the match, a video went viral on social media, where a passionate Pakistani fan can be seen urging Haris Rauf not to let India lift the Asia Cup 2025 trophy. The fan has animatedly requested by saying, “India ko chhodna nahi,” while holding Rauf’s hand.

Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi shine as Pakistan set for title clash in Dubai
Meanwhile, Pakistan pulled off a thrilling Super Four victory against Bangladesh in Dubai, booking their place in the Asia Cup 2025 final against India. Star pacer Haris Rauf led the charge, delivering a brilliant 3/33 to restrict Bangladesh to just 124/9 in their 20 overs.
Chasing a modest 136, Bangladesh struggled from the start, losing wickets at regular intervals, with Shamim Hossain being the top scorer with 30 runs off 25 balls. Apart from Rauf, Shaheen Afridi also scalped three wickets while giving away 17 runs in his four overs against the Tigers.
For his match-winning spell, Afridi won the Player of the Match award. The pacer said at the post-match presentation, “I will dedicate this award to my beautiful wife and son who are here. You need early breakthroughs."
