The Oval Pitch curator is now getting on the nerves of the Indian team; he was spotted in another verbal tussle with Indian throwdowns after being ignored by Gautam Gambhir.

The altercation between Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir and the Oval pitch curator has become a major debate and a hot topic ahead of the final Test between India and England. They have faced more criticism from the media cycle.

The Indian media has mostly found loopholes from the curator's end, since the groundsmen and batting coach revealed what comments irked the Indian coach to have his outburst on the groundstaff, and the change of rules for Indian and English management also seemed unfair from the game's point of view.

Gautam Gambhir ignores, but the Curator continues cunning moves

The Oval pitch curator, Lee Fortis, has been an engaging man on the nets, especially bothering Indians on several instances. Even Sitanshu Kotak said during the press release that the man is tough to handle.

After the heated argument, when the curator again approached the Indian staff members, Gautam Gambhir was spotted ignoring the big man, as he did not utter a single word in exchange for whatever he said. However, despite the ignorance, the man did not mend his own ways.

He kept nagging at the Indian camp, as he shifted his focus now to the Indian throwdown nets, where they were supposedly preparing for a batting session. He was seen engaging in constant talks with them, though their stance is still unknown to us.

Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is likely to miss the Oval Test with an injury

Jasprit Bumrah, the world-class pacer, saw a recent dip in form as he could not produce a similar impact as he does with the red ball in Manchester. This was cited as a weak performance, as Bumrah ended the fourth Test with the figures of 2/112 in 33 overs.

Recently, a report from Senior TOI journalist Gaurav Gupta has posed severe doubt on Bumrah's possible availability for the final Test. He said that Bumrah is revealed to be nursing his ankle injury, which he sustained during the Manchester Test, and hence might miss the final Test, not due to Gautam Gambhir's workload concerns.

"Hearing that ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is missing the Oval Test due to a niggle...and not due to any workload management concerns... #IndiavsEngland #JaspritBumrah," Gauram Gupta wrote on his X handle.

Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy's fate to be decided at The Oval

The Pataudi Trophy, played between India and England, has a new name, as the two greats from the nations were honored with a trophy named after them. James Anderson, the premium fast bowler from England, and India's greatest batsman ever, Sachin Tendulkar.

The BCCI and ECB named the trophy the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, and the current season is the first time the two teams have competed for the trophy. England is in a strong position to create a new legacy, while India can share it with a win at The Oval.

Hence, India is in a must-win situation and would be able to only draw the series if they win at The Oval; otherwise, they lose their chance to get their hands on the maiden Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
