Pakistan National Cricket Team opener Imam-ul-Haq has shocked the fans with his cryptic post on social media, which sparked rumors that nothing is going well in his marriage with Anmol Mehmood.

Imam Ul Haq, the nephew of legendary Pakistani cricketer Inzamam Ul Haq, had tied the knot with his long-time friend-turned-girlfriend Anmol Mehmood in November 2023 in Lahore. The Pakistan-born Anmol is a doctor by profession in Norway.

She has been reportedly living in Norway with her family while Imam-ul-Haq is in Pakistan because of their profession. They have been very supportive to each other when it comes to their professional life. Earlier this year, in January 2026, Imam and his wife, Anmol, welcomed their first child—a baby girl.

Now, just a couple of months after becoming parents, Imam-ul-Haq and Anmol Mehmood seem to be going through a rough phase. The Pakistani opener created a massive buzz on social media by speaking about how challenging and confusing marriage can feel in today’s generation.

Imam's topsy-turvy Pakistan journey

Speaking about his career, Imam ul Haq has made a bright start to his international career, but constant criticism and allegations of favoritism because of being the nephew of former chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq have severely impacted his career.

He made his international debut in 2018 and was last seen in action against South Africa in October 2025. The opener is among the fastest players to reach 1000, 2000, and 3003 runs in ODI cricket. Imam has represented Pakistan in over 100 international matches across the formats, scoring over 2100 runs.

However, the opening batter was not picked by any franchise for the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026. But he was impressive in the National T20 Cup 2026, where he scored 71 (40) against Karachi Blues and 86 (51) against Sialkot at a strike rate of 177.5 for Multan.
