The ongoing five-match Test series between England and India is evenly poised at 1-1. England started the series with a five-wicket win in the opening Test at Headingley in Leeds, chasing 371 on the final day. India secured their first-ever Test win at Edgbaston in Birmingham with an emphatic 336-run victory.

Michael Vaughan Responds to Cheteshwar Pujara’s Witty Dig

Michael Vaughan responded to Cheteshwar Pujara’s dig by replying, “Let’s wait and see 😜😜,” keeping the banter lighthearted amid the ongoing Test series.

"Let’s wait and see 😜😜 ," Vaughan added.

It was India's biggest-ever win in a Test match away from home in terms of runs. Shubman Gill secured the Player of the Match award for his outstanding knocks of 269 and 161, while Akash Deep was the pick of the bowlers with a ten-wicket match haul.

The third match of the series will commence on Thursday, July 10, at Lord’s in London. As per schedule, the fourth Test will be played in Manchester from Wednesday, July 23, followed by the fifth and final Test at the Kennington Oval starting Thursday, July 31.

Cheteshwar Pujara Takes on Media Role During ENG vs IND Test Series

Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been out of the Indian Test side, has taken up a media role during the Anderson-Tendulkar series. He has been seen sharing insights alongside other former cricketers and experts, and also interacted with Indian players ahead of the first Test in Leeds.

Pujara last featured for India in the 2023 World Test Championship final at The Oval, where India suffered a 209-run defeat to Australia. The 37-year-old has played 103 matches, amassing 7,195 runs at an average of 43.60, including 19 centuries and 35 fifties.

Pujara continues to play domestic cricket despite being out of the national setup. He represented Saurashtra in seven matches in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season, scoring 402 runs at an average of 40.20, including a century and a half-century.
