England Women have announced their squad for the upcoming ODI Series against India. Alice Capsey & the youngster Freya Kemp are all set to make their debuts after being named in the squad. The duo was outstanding in the recently concluded T20I Series against India which marked the series victory against Mighty Indians.
Freya Kemp became the youngest England player, female or male at the age of 17 years 145 days to score a half-century against India; she also became the second youngest to reach the milestone for England in International Cricket after Sarah Taylor. It’s quite fascinating to see such a young player excel in tough conditions.

Alice Capsey was asked about the match. “I felt nervous today, I didn’t know whether to play the reverse sweep or not. I was like, ‘this is the series decider. But I’m really enjoying it at the moment and I think that’s showing in my cricket, which is brilliant.”
Fascinating ODI Series on Cards
India Women would be looking for revenge after their T20I Series loss. The visitors have players who can make impact with both bat & ball. England Women on the other side knows that they need to be patient as India Women have a habit of falling like a pack of cards.
This ODI Series is a part of ODI Championship where each game would be invaluable. It would be interesting to see which team has the last laugh as both of them are competitive. England Women would be hoping that they continue their good work as momentum is everything in Cricket.
