His knock helped the Los Angeles Knight Riders to post 187/3 on the board against the San Francisco Unicorns.

After the match, Los Angeles Knight Riders captain Jason Holder praised Andre Russell for playing a calm and mature innings instead of his usual attacking style.
LAKR captain Jason Holder said at the post-match presentation, “What can I say about Andre Russell? He was absolutely outstanding. He probably played a little bit out of character in terms of how he held it together. He batted pretty smartly. And then the finishing touch by Rovman (Powell) with the bat really gave us a really good total at the halfway stage.”

Six hundred games is by no means an easy feat. It just shows longevity, but not only longevity but class. You've got to be able to perform over that period of time to play that number of games. Today was just a perfect example of how great he is, and we should just celebrate him. We don't know how much longer he's got left. He's getting on in age, but he showed his class today.”
