The 23-year-old pacer achieved the historic feat on day 3 of the ongoing Ranji Trophy game between Haryana and Kerala in Lahli. He struck in the very first over of the match to dismiss Baba Aparajith for a duck. Kamboj finished day one with two wickets before taking all six wickets on day two.

Chatterjee was the first-ever bowler to take all ten wickets in an innings in the Ranji Trophy, achieving the feat in the 1956-57 season while playing for Bengal. On the other hand, Sundaram achieved the record for Rajasthan in a match against Vidarbha in the 1985-86 edition.
