India’s young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has turned heads on social media for mercilessly trolling his teammate Ravi Bishnoi following the IPL 2026 Auction in Abu Dhabi on December 16.
Arshdeep Singh’s comment aimed at Ravi Bishnoi went viral and sparked mixed reactions from the fans, with many calling out the Punjab bowler for crossing the line. This came after the Indian leg-spinner secured a major deal at the IPL 2026 Auction on Tuesday.

Bishnoi was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping ₹7.20 crore after a long and tense bidding war at the auction. And Rajasthan Royals (RR) immediately showed interest by opening the bidding. The five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) soon joined the race. They took their time before steadily raising the bid in small steps. With plenty of money left in their purse, CSK comfortably pushed the price up to ₹4.2 crore on the auction table.
At that time, the Royals briefly stepped back, but they were not done yet. They returned at ₹4.4 crore, keeping the contest alive. CSK responded quickly and raised the bid again, taking it up to ₹5.8 crore. The Royals then re-entered at ₹6 crore. At this point, CSK backed out, and it looked like the deal was done.

Bishnoi walked away with a massive deal with the RR at the auction. Soon after, a clip of Arshdeep Singh reacting to Bishnoi’s big payday started making rounds on social media. Arshdeep’s comment on his Snapchat, telling Bishnoi not to waste water now, quickly caught attention.

Ravi Bishnoi's career in numbers
Meanwhile, Bishnoi was released by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after a disappointing IPL 2025 season, where he managed only nine wickets in 11 matches under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy. The 25-year-old spinner has so far represented only two IPL teams, Punjab Kings and LSG.
In 77 IPL matches, the leg-spinner has taken 72 wickets at an economy rate of 8.21. He is LSG’s highest wicket-taker in IPL history with 48 wickets at an economy of 8.80. Bishnoi has also picked up 61 wickets from 42 T20I matches for India at an excellent average of 19.37.
Looking at his overall T20 career, the numbers are even more impressive. He has taken 194 wickets from 166 matches at an economy rate of just 7.54 and has three four-wicket hauls to his name.
