Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree Verma, shared a cryptic post after the veteran cricketer was excluded from the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup. In her post, Dhanashree Verma raised a question about whether being an introvert could have an impact on career growth.
On Monday, August 21, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Yuzvendra Chahal did not make it into the squad for the continental tournament. Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav were preferred ahead of him as spin bowlers.

We Can Fit Only One Wrist Spinner – Yuzvendra Chahal
Ajit Agarkar explained that Yuzvendra Chahal was dropped from the squad because they couldn’t accommodate two wrist spinners in the lineup.
“Terrific performer but we had to look at the balance of the team. To fit in two wrist spinners was difficult. We can fit only one wrist spinner. It’s unfortunate for one to miss out and right now, Kuldeep is a bit ahead,” Agarkar said.
The 33-year-old bowler might not feature in the ODI World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to be played at home between October and November. Agarkar has confirmed that they will finalize the 15-member squad for the World Cup based on performances in the Asia Cup.
