Earlier, it was reported by India Today that the Asia Cup 2025 is in jeopardy as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has refused to attend the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dhaka.
The BCCI demanded that the ACC meeting be shifted outside Bangladesh due to strained political relations between India and Bangladesh, but ACC and PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, was adamant about the meeting being held in Dhaka.
PCB tried to put pressure on BCCI over Asia Cup matters by keeping the meeting in Dhaka even after the Indian cricket board received support from Sri Lanka, Oman, and Afghanistan.
