The Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan has erupted into another controversy even after the on-field action ended on September 28 in Dubai, with Tanveer Ahmed claiming the toss was completely fixed. India had defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final.
The former Pakistani cricketer claimed that the toss in the high-stakes Asia Cup 2025 final was manipulated. Tanveer has pointed out that Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav moved far ahead before the coin was tossed, which was a clear hint that they would bowl first in Dubai.

He further noted that Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha and match referee Richie Richardson looked unaware, failing to notice any manipulation. Tanveer said that the video clearly shows that the toss in the final was fixed, and BCCI was clearly involved in this.

In a video shared by TOK Sports on X, Tanveer Ahmed said, “100%, the toss was fixed in the final. I am saying this because when the toss was made and the coin was thrown, Richie Richardson was going towards that coin. He didn't even look at it properly. And Suryakumar Yadav was already so far ahead. Have you ever seen a captain come so far ahead or bow so much? He already said before picking up Richie Richardson's coin that we bowled first.”

Furthermore, the former Pakistani cricketer has pointed out that cameras did not clearly show the coin, making it impossible to see if it was heads or tails. He added that Suryakumar moved ahead before the toss and chose to bowl, raising doubts about the fairness of the procedure.
Tanveer also mentioned how Richie Richardson immediately left the stadium after the final ended, raising suspicions about his involvement in the fixing. Meanwhile, he has openly claimed that all the rules of the International Cricket Council (ICC) are under the control of the BCCI.

The former Pakistani cricketer also claimed that the ICC chairman Jay Shah will do whatever the BCCI wants to do, alleging that the match referees and umpires were selected by India in the Asia Cup 2025. He also accused the BCCI of buying everyone involved in the game to do their own will.

Tanveer explained, “They will buy everyone because of the money involved. The umpires, the cricketers, and the cricket boards will buy everyone. They bought everyone with money. They can do anything, they have ruined cricket. They are bringing all politics into cricket.”
Tanveer Ahmed alleges corruption and politics in the ICC
He also criticized the ICC, saying it is being run like an extension of the Indian administration and that politics and corruption have ruined the spirit of the game, calling the Asia Cup 2025 unfair.
Tanveer signed off by saying, “And as long as the current ICC is in power, they are running the ICC like their own Indian government. They are giving money and buying people, they are doing all these things. I have never seen the kind of disgusting, dirty, and vile things they have done in this Asia Cup. And I am telling you, the toss was 100% fixed.”
