England Cricket Team have announced their playing 11 for the upcoming 4th Test of the Ashes 2023. The game will take place at Old Trafford in Manchester from 19th July. James Anderson has returned to mix after being rested for the third Test.
Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett will continue to open the innings in the fourth Test as well whereas in the absence of Ollie Pope, England have slotted Moeen Ali at No.3. The all-rounder batted at this position in the second innings of the Headingley Test but didn’t have much success.

Joe Root along with Harry Brook and skipper Ben Stokes will take the responsibility of batting in the middle order as has been the case in the last three games. Despite not having great outings with the gloves in the last three games, England have backed Jonny Bairstow to be the keeper in the next game as well.
Chris Woakes and Mark Wood, who made a staggering return to Test cricket at Headingley, have retained their place in the 11 whereas Stuart Broad will have the company of his old mate James Anderson for the Manchester Test. The veteran pacer has replaced Ollie Robinson in the team from the last game.

Ollie Robinson struggled with his back in the last game but had declared himself match-fit. James Anderson on the other hand hasn’t displayed his best so far in the series. He played the first two games and struggled with his rhythm. The veteran pacer would be hoping to put that all behind him and make a mark in what will be a virtual series decider.
