The 23-year-old New Zealand National Cricket Team batting all-rounder Rachin Ravindra played an absolutely stunning knock in the 27th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 against Australia National Cricket Team at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala on Saturday, October 28.

Rachin Ravindra has emerged as the best young talent in the ongoing edition of the ICC World Cup. He has looked in terrific form with the bat and earned huge praise from former cricketers and experts.

He showcased his talent in the first match of the tournament itself as he started off his campaign by smashing an excellent 123 runs against the England National Cricket Team in a match-winning cause.

Rachin Ravindra followed his ton with a fifty and then his next three matches were quiet. However, he bounced back strong by hitting an amazing 75 runs against India in Dharamsala.

The batting all-rounder then bettered his performance by playing a wonderful against the Aussies. While batting at No.3, he looked great in the middle and played confident cricket against the strong Australian bowling unit.

He acceralted at a perfect time and completed his century off 77 balls and his innings consisted of 7 fours and 5 maximums. He also gave a hard time to the Australian bowlers with his aggressive strokeplay.

Rachin Ravindra was finally dismissed by skipper Pat Cummins in the 41st over. He was back in the hut after scoring 116 runs off 89 balls, with 9 fours and 5 sixes. He equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most World Cup centuries at the age of 23 as the batting great also had 2 World Cup tons at the age of 23.

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first, the decision which backfired massively. Australian opener Travis Head finally returned to the playing XI after missing out on the last few matches due to injury and set the stage on fire.

Head smashed a spectacular century and built a tremendous 175-run partnership in 117 balls with veteran opener David Warner, who also batted magnificently but fell a few runs short of his ton. In the end, Glenn Maxwell (41) and Pat Cummins (37) played brutal innings to power Australia to a gigantic total of 388.
