In the reply, Australian women had a dreadful start as they were left tottering at 12/3. However, after that Beth Mooney (78) and Alyssa Healy (99) added a 155-run partnership that brought the team back in the game and helped the team take a first innings lead.

After their wickets, Annabel Sutherland stole the limelight and outplayed the opposition. The young batter slammed a sensational double ton and ended with an innings of 210 runs. She was well supported by Ash Gardner (65), Sophie Molineux (33), and Kim Garth (49).

Based on the rollicking effort, Australia women posted a gigantic total of 575 runs on the board. They took a lead of around 500 runs and outplayed the opposition. For South Africa, Chloe Tryon was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 3/81.

South Africa while chasing the target were off the torrid start yet again. They lost three quick wickets and found themselves tottering at 13/3. Tanzim Brits (31) and Delmi Tucker (64) then bailed the team out of trouble with their handy knocks and led the fight back.

Chloe Tyron (64) also contributed and hit a valiant half-century. But after she got out, Australia women were on the top yet again and picked wickets quickly. The Proteas batters didn’t look comfortable at the crease and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Australia women bundled out South Africa for a total of 215 runs and won the game by the margin of innings and 84 runs. Almost every bowler contributed with the ball and helped the team dominate the one-off Test between the teams at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

Kim Garth and Darcie Brown picked two wickets each upfront. Apart from them, Ashleigh Gardner and Annabel Sutherland also grabbed two scalps each. Ellyse Perry and Alana King also contributed one wicket each and helped the team win the game by the margin of innings and 284 runs.
