Australian cricketer Will Pucovski is aiming to return to the field next month after recovering from his latest concussion. His coach Chris Rogers said that Pucovski will miss the opening game of Victoria in Sheffield Shield. Pucovski suffered a concussion after getting hit on the helmet by a ball during a net session earlier this month.

Pucovski, who plays for Australia’s domestic team Victoria, suffered the 10th concussion of his career. Although he will miss the first game of Victoria in the Sheffield Shield tournament, he might be back for the second game, which will commence on November 5.

Will Pucovski Looking To Play The 2nd Sheffied Shield Game For Victoria: Coach Chris Rogers

Victoria coach Chris Rogers said that Will Pucovski looks pretty good now and looking to play the second Sheffield Shield game for Victoria.

“He looks pretty good, so he’s targeting the second Shield game. He’s a pretty resilient guy now – if you go through (this) many setbacks, you have to have something about you,” coach Rogers said.

Rogers also said that if Will Pucovski managed to perform with the bat in Sheffield Sheild 2021-22 like the last season, then Australian selectors might give him a chance in forthcoming The Ashes 2021-22.

“He’s showed before that he can hit the ground running as he did last year in the two Sheffield Shield games when he got two 200s. If he was good enough to come and do something like that again, I think the Australian selectors would definitely have something to consider,” Rogers further said.
