Team India’s, five players are currently under the radar for violating the bio-bubbles established by Cricket Australia (CA) for the ongoing series. Notably, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw and Navdeep Saini were spotted by an Indian fan on Friday eating at the Secret Kitchen restaurant at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne.
The India National Cricket Team is currently in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar trophy. The Australians beat the Indians in the first Test as the visitors faced humiliation in Adelaide, However, the Indian Cricket Team bounced back in the Boxing Day Test as they won the second Test by a handsome margin.
Five Of Team India’s Players Under The Radar For Possible Breach Of The Bio-Bubble
The fan, Navaldeep Singh, generously paid their $118.69 bill – the “least I can do for my superstars” – according to his now-viral posts on social media. Navdeep later went on to say that Rishabh Pant hugged him afterwards. BCCI and Cricket Australia raised their eyebrows after this statement.
Later on, the fan declined his statement stating that it was all said in fun and excitement. On Saturday tweeted: “Clarification – Pant never hugged me it was all said in excitement we maintained social distance all thru:) Apologies for miscommunication”.
The biosecurity restrictions for this tour are believed to allow for players to eat at outdoor restaurants, but the footage of the players shared by Singh appears to show the group eating indoors. These four players from team India are now under the radar of both the boards.
