Babar’s fans posted abusive comments toward Stoinis and his fiancée on their Instagram accounts.

The former Pakistan skipper is currently playing for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League. Stoinis bowled a full, straight delivery that beat Babar’s bat and struck him on the pads. The umpire raised his finger, and Babar chose not to review the decision after a short chat with Josh Philippe at the non-striker’s end.

Stoinis celebrated the wicket in an animated manner and gave Babar a fiery send-off, with cameras picking him up saying a few words as he ran past the batter. The video went viral on social media platforms.

“See you later, Babar, see you later, brother," Stoinis said.
