The seriousness of the injury is yet to be known, but things didn't look great for Babar Azam. With Peshawar Zalmi's first game set to be played tomorrow afternoon, the skipper of the team might be in the race against time to be fit for the clash against Quetta Gladiators.

PSL 2025 will be a great opportunity for Babar Azam to prove his worth

The upcoming PSL 2025 will be a great opportunity for Babar Azam to prove his worth yet again and reclaim his stake in the Pakistan T20I Team. The premier batter, along with some other players, were dropped from the national team in the format, as PCB went ahead with youngsters.

Babar Azam, who is the leading run-getter for Pakistan in the T20Is, has also been struggling to score runs consistently for the team in white-ball cricket. Since the start of the year 2025, he has looked torrid with the bat, and his poor performances were one of the major reasons behind the struggle of team.

Babar Azam failed in the tri-series at home and struggled badly in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He looked decent in the series against New Zealand but failed to play a match-winning innings for the side as Pakistan faced a 3-0 defeat in the series.

Babar now would be keen to set the stage on fire in the series and help his team lift the PSL 2025 title. It remains to be seen if he is deemed fit to play the next game or not.
