Zakir Hasan would be the other opener for Bangladesh. He scored 68 runs in 2 games in the previous series with one unbeaten knock.

Najmul Hossain Shanto (C)

Najmul Hossain Shanto is the captain of Bangladesh in the Test series and will lead the side in the 1st Test. He hit just 58 runs in 3 innings in the last series and needs to pull up his socks.

Mominul Haque

Mominul Haque would be a middle-order batsman for the side. He slammed 85 runs in 3 innings in the previous series. He is an experienced batsman for the side.

Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim will steal a place in the middle order. The right-handed batsman was the key reason for the triumph over Pakistan. He shattered 216 runs in 3 innings with 1 ton.

Litton Das (WK)

Litton Das would bat in the lower order and take the role of wicketkeeper for the side. He scored 194 runs in 2 innings in the previous series with a century and half-century in both innings.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz would be another good spin all-rounder in the playing 11. He slammed 155 runs in 2 innings in the previous series and also captured 10 wickets for the side.

Taijul Islam

Taijul Islam will be a crucial spinner for the side against India. He will look to dominate with his spin tactics at Chidambaram Stadium.

Taskin Ahmed will lead the pace attack for the team. The right-arm pacer clinched 4 wickets in 1 game in the previous series with a 3-wicket haul in one inning. They will need more spinners in India and hence will only grab two pacers in the playing 11.
