Openers: Saif Hassan, Tanzid Hasan
Bangladesh would want to start the three-match T20I series against Ireland with a win in order to continue the momentum that the team has gained courtesy of a 2-0 series sweep in Test cricket against the same opposition.
The T20I setup if Bangladesh will miss one of its most experienced players, Taskin Ahmed, who hasn't been picked for the first two matches, with the rest of the bowling lineup being the same as it was in the previous T20I assignment against.
The onus will be on the opening pair of Saif Hassan, who has been elevated to fulfill the role of the vice captain of the team, and Tanzid Hasan to get the team off to a good start and get runs under their belt individually as well.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Litton Das ( wk/c), Tawhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, Nurul Hasan, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain
The openers will be followed by a middle order that has shown what they are capable of in the middle phase of the batting innings, but hasn't been able to do it on a consistent basis.
The likes of Litton Das, Tawhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, and Nurul Hasan would look to make the most of the upcoming opportunity and put on a solid show with the bat.
All eyes will be on Bangladesh's T20I captain Litton Das, who was in good form in the recently concluded Test series against Ireland, to lead from the front.
The hosts would back their top five batters to score the majority of the runs for the team, both while batting first and while chasing as well.
Bowlers: Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan
Bangla's is expected to go into the first T20I with only a couple of fast bowlers, which means the responsibility will be on the spinners to do the bulk of the damage.
The spin bowling department will be taken care of by the trio of Nasum Ahmed, Rishad Hossain, and Mahedi Hasan.
Out of the three spinners, Nasum Ahmed shall bowl an over or two in the powerplay as he is well-equipped to do so.
The spinners will be entrusted to control things, especially in the middle overs, as a large number of matches are won by the team that wins the middle overs, either with the bat or with the ball.
Another reason why spinners will play a huge role in the match is if they are able to pick wickets from over 7-15, it will make things easy for the fast bowlers at the backend of the innings.
Along with the spinners, the fast bowling pair of Tanzim Hasan and experienced fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman will also look to stem the flow of runs and pick up wickets with the new ball and in the backend of the innings.
