Bangladesh set to host Pakistan for white-ball series in July-August 2025

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is trying to host Pakistan National Cricket Team for the white-ball series in July-August this year. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that both the cricketing boards are positive related to playing the series later this year.

The reports claimed that although there isn't any final decision taken, the Bangladesh National Cricket Team will be hosting the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the three-match ODI series and the three-match T20I series, and it is expected that the final decision will be made soon.

PCB head Mohsin Naqvi and BCB president Faruque Ahmed were involved in discussions of hosting series

The reports added that discussions of hosting the three-match ODI series and the three-match T20I series took place between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) head Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Faruque Ahmed when the latter traveled to Dubai for the ongoing ICC Champions 2025.

BCB cricket operations head Shahriar Nafees confirmed the development to Cricbuzz on Tuesday (25th February), saying: "BCB and PCB are in discussion about it (playing three ODIs and three T20Is), and at the moment, both boards are positive about it."

Bangladesh National Cricket Team and Pakistan National Cricket Team will be playing against each other at the end of May as well. As per the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP), the two teams will be locking horns with each other three-match ODI and three-match T20I series in Pakistan.

The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led have a packed schedule in 2025. After the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, they are set to lock horns with the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team in the two-match Test series to be played in Sylhet and Chattogram from mid-April.

The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side will also be hosting the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team from June to July. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the two-match Test series along with three ODIs and as many T20Is. Following that, they will be hosting India in August-September for a three-match Test series along with three T20Is.

After the series against India, the Asia Cup will be played in September. Following that, Bangladesh are scheduled to host West Indies in October for three Tests and three T20Is. They will end the year by hosting Ireland for two Tests along with three ODIs and three T20Is.

The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side are currently playing the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. They have been eliminated from the tournament after facing two back-to-back defeats in the tournament against India and New Zealand. Pakistan have also been knocked out of the tournament.
