Fans on X reacted after New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell slammed a magnificent ton against India. The semi-final 1 of the ICC World Cup 2023 is taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and it’s turning out to be a cracker of a game. 

Daryl Mitchell is keeping New Zealand well and truly in the game and giving mini-heart attacks to Indian fans. The all-rounder has hardly put a foot wrong and played some brutal shots, which has made Indian skipper Rohit Sharma think a lot. 

Daryl Mitchell came to bat when New Zealand lost both the openers early. However, after that, he asserted his authority and timed the ball to perfection. The right-hander put India under great pressure and silenced the crowd big time. 

Daryl Mitchell added 181 runs with skipper Kane Williamson (69) and made sure that New Zealand stayed in the chase of 398 runs with equal chance. The batter slammed a sensational ton in the all-important clash and is making a strong statement in Wankhede Stadium. 

Daryl Mitchell slammed his second ton of the tournament and 6th overall. He brought up his ton in just 85 balls. He has batted with a strike rate of over 100 and has smashed 8 fours and 6 sixes in his innings. He will be crucial to New Zealand and if he stays till the end, he can even win the match for his side. This was his second ton against India in the tournament. He slammed a brutal knock against them in Dharamsala.
