BBL 2023-24: 4 Wickets In 4 Balls! Watch - Daniel Sams Runs Riot vs Melbourne Stars
Recently, in the BBL match between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars, Daniel Sams’ over saw four wickets in four deliveries while Melbourne Stars were batting. The Big Bash League has been running and every match is giving some memorable moments for the fans to remember. Be it Tom Curran being banned for four games or a match being canceled because of a dangerous pitch, the BBL has been quite amazing so far.
Daniel Sams came to bowl the last over of the first innings which saw the fall of four wickets in four consecutive deliveries. He took three of those four wickets, unfortunately, missing out on a hat trick but eventually got a run-out to make it a team’s hat trick and then again took a wicket after the run out thus making it four in four for Sydney Thunders.
The first victim for Sams in the final over was Beau Webster who was already on 59. The second to go back to the pavilion was Usama Mir, who got out for a golden duck. The third ball was missed by Mark Steketee who was run out at the non-striker end while trying to take a single and the last was Liam Dawson who was clean bowled by Sams.
Melbourne Stars were all-out for 172 in their given 20 overs and Daniel Sams took figures of 4/33 in his four overs. The BBL released a video of the four consecutive wickets during Daniel Sams’ last over on their X with the caption, “Four wickets in four balls Daniel Sams picked up three, and he got a run out in this amazing end to the Stars innings.”
