BCCI Announces 15-Member India Women's Squad For The Asian Games 2023

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-Member India Women’s Squad for the Asian Games. The team will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur with Smriti Mandhana being her deputy for the tournament.
The Asian Games competition is all set to take place from 23rd September to 8th October in Hangzhou, China. The Women’s tournament will be played from the 19th to the 28th of September. Indian men’s and women’s team will ply their trade in their tournament.

The BCCI Women has named the full-strength side for the competition as apart from Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues will be there in the batting department along with Deepti Sharma being the all-rounder in the team. Whereas Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry will be the two keepers in the team.
Yastika Bhatia along with Harleen Deol and Pooja Vastrakar has been dropped from the main team. Whereas Titas Sadhu, Rajeshwari Gayakwad have also found themselves in the team. Apart from the main squad, BCCI women have announced a standby list as well.
