Yesterday, it was reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to sack its current physio, Kamlesh Jain. Today, on September 11, the board officially shared a notice to hire for the position of Head – Sports Science & Medicine at the Centre of Excellence.
BCCI asked job seekers to share their details if they want to apply for the role. The board has shared all the details about the job and the criteria to apply for the position. In the media release, they made it clear that the newly appointed physio will have to work closely with the Center of Excellence (CoE) staff for the welfare of the players, especially the players who are dealing with Injuries.

The announcement of recruitment comes amid the growing concerns inside the team and the team management, ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup. The position will have a key focus on player welfare, injury prevention and rehabilitation, physical development, research, innovation, and the adoption of relevant technologies and services - BCCI mentions this in their press release.
