BCCI beaten to death after Asia Cup India vs Pakistan match schedule appears

There has been immense uncertainty over the participation of India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025, which is supposed to be held in September 2025.
As per reports from Timesofindia.com, the continental tournament of the Asia Cup is set to begin on the 5th of September 2025 and will be held in the UAE, while BCCI will assume the hosting rights.
As per the initial schedule, India will take on Pakistan on the 7th of September. As per reports, all teams are currently getting clearances from their respective governments for participation in the tournament. However, this proposed match has already left the Indian fans fuming with rage.
India vs Pakistan for the first time since the cross-border tensions
Earlier this year, the future of the Asia Cup had a big question mark due to the cross-border tensions between arch-rivals India and Pakistan.
This was a heart-wrenching terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir's Pahalgam, which left the nation shocked with the death of 26 innocent civilians. India, in return, launched a military operation targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The military mission was named 'Operation Sindoor', and this will be the first time since the end of the battle between the two nations that the two teams looked to entangle in another battle on the cricket field.
With the tournament date likely fixed within 5 months from the heinous event of Pahalgam, Indian fans have criticized BCCI's decision to make a nod to feature against Pakistan in the group stages.
These supposed reports have also raised a question about the earlier reports, which suggested that BCCI reportedly informed the Asian Cricket Council of its decision to possibly opt out of the tournament. However, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia had denied such claims.
“The Asia Cup matter or any other ACC event issue has not come up for discussion at any level," Saikia had said in a statement.
"...till now, BCCI has not even discussed or taken any such steps regarding ensuing ACC events, leave alone writing anything to the ACC," added the BCCI secretary.

India vs Pakistan Matches to be held at Neutral Venues only
Team India are the defending champions of the Asia Cup 2023 played in ODI format; however, Sri Lanka were the crowned champions last time when the Asia Cup was played in the shortest format of the game.
Although Team India and BCCI were supposed to be the hosts of the Asia Cup 2025, it has been reported that the tournament will be held in Dubai this year. This is due to an agreement made between the BCCI and the PCB, which stated that India vs Pakistan matches will only be played at neutral venues.
This decision was made when the Indian board refused to send its team to play in Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After the group-stage game, if India and Pakistan both qualify for the Super 4 stage, supposedly, the teams would have to clash once again in this Asia Cup.

Are you forgetting that Pakistan isn’t just a cricket team - it’s a terror exporter?
Why are you legitimizing a mafia state on the Cricket pitch?
