BCCI notified to ban DJs and Cheerleaders in IPL

IPL 2025 was suspended on May 8 due to the rising tension on the border between India and Pakistan. The IPL 2025 will resume this weekend on May 17, and former Indian player Sunil Gavaskar requested BCCI to keep sentiments of families in mind.
Gavaskar wants fans to come in and enjoy cricket, This suggestion came up after the ceasefire was announced between India and Pakistan.

Sunil Gavaskar urged the BCCI not to play the music too loud in between the matches, only 17 matches are remaining in the IPL 2025 and what happened in Pahalgoan and after that, the BCCI have to look at the sentiments of the people.
“What I would really like to see is. These are the last few matches; we have had about 60 games or thereabouts. I think it is the last 15 or 16 games. I would sincerely hope, because of what has happened and some families have lost their near and dear ones, I would like that there is no music."
"Let's not have the DJS screaming in the middle of an over.,” Gavaskar told Sports Today.
Sunil Gavaskar lauds BCCI for suspending IPL at right time
Sunil Gavaskar also stated that the suspension of the IPL midway was correct, and the BCCI took the right step to suspend the tournament immediately.
According to him, there is no space for any game to continue when the nation is fighting against terrorism.
Gavaskar wants just the crowd to come into the stadium to balance the game, but there will be no dancing girls on the ground as a tribute to the families who have lost their dear ones.
“The suspension happened suddenly and quite correctly, too, because at that stage, with hostilities, there was no place for sport. But now that there is a ceasefire, I think the tournament will resume,” said Gavaskar.
IPL 2025 resumes on May 17
After suspending IPL 2025 for a week, now BCCI has announced the revised schedule for the remainder of the tournament. The remaining matches will kick off on May 17.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match after resumption. The remainder of the tournment includes two double-headers only.
There are six venues finalised to host the remaining matches of IPL 2025, including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Lucknow.
At this time, the venues of the IPL 2025 playoffs haven't been finalise,d but Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad will likely host the final of IPL 2025.
