The International Cricket Council has concluded its set of hearings against the Indian and Pakistani players and has fined Suryakumar Yadav for his statements and Haris Rauf for his unkind gestures, while they have spared batter Sahibzada Farhan with a formal warning.
The ICC concluded its disciplinary hearing against the Indian and Pakistani cricketers on Friday afternoon. Match referee Richie Richardson was known to have overseen the proceedings.
Pakistan players Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan were marked, making some unwanted gestures that seemed to mock the Indian fans. While Rauf gestured for a plane crash with his hand, Farhan found himself amid the controversy after having made a rocket launcher with his bat as a part of his half-century celebration.
BCCI files an appeal against the financial penalties issued to Suryakumar Yadav
The ICC, after investigating the complaints on the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav, found him guilty of causing some depletion to the spirit of the game. As a result of this, Suryakumar has been fined 30 percent of his match fees.
The BCCI has, in turn, filed an appeal over the financial penalties imposed on the Indian skipper by the ICC. Even the Indian Revsportz reporter, Rohit Juglan, has made a similar claim. The BCCI feels that the statement made by Suryakumar has no political implications.
The statements were meant to respect the people who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attacks and to honour their sacrifices. The Indian skipper had no intention to irk any side with his remarks, especially since they meant nothing politically.
BCCI should appeal (for that fine)

Suryakumar Yadav is in dire need of form ahead of Asia Cup Final
Indian skipper SKY is in dire need of form ahead of the much-awaited Asia Cup final match between India and Pakistan. Despite having started the tournament very well, SKY could not perform as the Indian team went in to feature in the Super-4 matches.
Suryakumar had a stunning IPL season, at the back of which he returned to the Indian side following his injury. He played for India and scored a match-winning 47 against Pakistan but has continuously failed to be promising with the bat.
He has been a constant failure in the Asia Cup Super-4 games and is in dire need of runs to retain his place in the side.
Suryakumar Yadav dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga; He continues weak form ahead of the Asia Cup final
Suryakumar Yadav has been promoted to the no. 3 position in the Indian batting order; however, the skipper has not been very promising with the bat. After Shubman Gill's dismissal in this game, the captain made it to the centre.
He built on to a partnership with the Indian opener Abhishek Sharma, who has been unstoppable in the Asia Cup. After having scored a run-a-ball 12, the Indian skipper fell prey to leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga.
This is the third straight match that the Indian skipper has suffered a disgusting dismissal.
