After the innings break, Devdutt Padikkal stated that they know their home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, very well. So, when they sensed the opportunity, they did not hesitate to welcome it with open arms.

"We understand that in the Chinnaswamy, if we have wickets in hand in the last five, six overs, we can really maximize, and that's what we did. (any target in mind during that stand?) Not really, to be honest. It's very hard to set a target here in Chinnaswamy. It's important that the moment you have that momentum behind you, you have to just keep going," RCB batter Devbutt Padikkal, who scored a half-century tonight, at the interval, explains how they were able to put such a massive total on the board.
