A lighthearted moment between England cricketer Ben Duckett and the Melbourne Cricket Ground crowd has gone viral during the Boxing Day Test in the Ashes 2025-26. Duckett was playfully poked by fans offering beer, but the opening batter responded with a gesture rather than ignoring the banter.
After going down 2-0 in the series, England chose to take a short break at a holiday destination to refresh and regroup. However, the England team went on to lose the third Test and the series. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) launched an investigation into the team’s activities during their time away.

According to Sky Sports, journalists closely followed the England team during their time in Noosa. Some players reportedly spent as many as six days drinking during the break.
ECB managing director Rob Key said that an investigation would be carried out after reports compared the team’s break to a “stag do.”
