Ben Stokes’ career in jeopardy after suffering a serious hamstring injury

England National Cricket Team have suffered a massive blow in the ongoing third Test against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. Captain Ben Stokes suffered a hamstring injury during the match, which is underway at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

Ben Stokes, whose career has often been marred by injuries, was at the receiving end of another blow. In the midst of his over in the second innings, the England National Cricket Team skipper clutched his left hamstring immediately after being hit for a four off the second ball.

As Ben Stokes walked off the field, England National Cricket Team issued an official statement. They added that the skipper is getting treatment for a left hamstring issue and also confirmed that he won't be taking the field in this innings.

The England and Wales Cricket Board also mentioned that the availability of Ben Stokes for the batting in the second innings will be determined after the assessment.

This is the second time Ben Stokes got injured in the ongoing Test series. The England National Cricket Team skipper in the Christchurch Test limped off the field in the midst of his 20th over of the game. This potentially is because of the bowling load he has taken in the series.

Things didn't look great for Ben Stokes as it is the same hamstring that he clutched during the Hundred earlier this year. The previous injury ruled him out for some time, and it is expected that he will be out of action for some more time, especially with the way he walked out of the ground.

Coming to the match, England National Cricket Team have been completely outplayed in the match. The New Zealand National Cricket Team have come with a gigantic effort with the bat as they have taken a massive lead of over 600 runs.
