MCA Tour Offers Young Mumbai Cricketers a Chance to Prove Themselves
The Mumbai Cricket Association has sent the team to England, aiming to provide international exposure to promising young talent. Earlier in February, the MCA announced a schedule of the matches against local English sides.
Kiran Powar, currently a Mumbai senior selector, will take charge as head coach. MCA officials Deepak Patil and Arman Malik will oversee the tour’s operations, while Khodadad Yazdegardi of Parsee Gymkhana is helping coordinate the effort.
Suryansh Shedge, Musheer Khan, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi played for their respective teams in IPL 2025. The tour also serves as a platform for emerging talents to prove themselves in challenging English conditions.

India youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi Has Represented Various Teams
Angkrish Raghuvanshi has represented various teams, including Kolkata Knight Riders, India U-19, Mumbai, and India A U-19. He helped Mumbai win the Vijay Merchant Trophy in 2019 and delivered consistent performances across age-group levels.
The right-handed batter finished as India’s top scorer during the 2021–22 Under-19 Asia Cup, helping the team secure the title. Raghuvanshi also impressed in the 2022 U-19 World Cup, emerging as India’s highest run-scorer with 278 runs in six innings.
The 20-year-old made his First-Class debut last season and has featured for Mumbai in white-ball formats since 2023. He was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2024 and was retained for ₹30 lakh at the 2025 mega auction.
During his debut IPL season, he scored 163 runs from 10 matches. Raghuvanshi had a much-improved campaign in 2025, amassing 300 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 139.53 and an average of 33.33. The batter was KKR’s second-highest run-scorer behind captain Ajinkya Rahane.
However, KKR had a poor IPL 2025, winning just five of their 14 matches. The IPL 2024 champions finished eighth on the table with 12 points, failing to reach the playoffs.
