Big blow for South Africa as star batsman David Miller has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match T20I series against England, starting on Wednesday, September 10, at Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens. David Miller, who is known for his explosive batting, suffered a right hamstring strain while playing in The Hundred 2025 for the Northern Superchargers.

The explosive batter failed to recover in time from the injury, forcing him to miss all three T20I matches in England. Earlier, Miller also missed South Africa’s T20I tours to Zimbabwe and Australia.

Despite his absence, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has decided not to call up a replacement, as they announced a young team to face the English side in the upcoming T20I series. Recently, the Proteas side had won the ODI series 2-1 against England and aimed for another victory on the tour.
