He Is Way Ahead Right Now, Want Him To Break Plenty Of Virat Kohli’s Records - Imam-ul-Haq's Honest Verdict On Virat vs Babar Azam

Imam-ul-Haq believes Babar Azam has a long way to go before being compared to Indian batter Virat Kohli.
Last month, Babar overtook Virat Kohli to become the world’s No. 1 T20I batter for the longest time. Kohli was the top-ranked T20I batter for 1,013 days.
A young Babar first appeared on the international scene in 2016. In international cricket, he has nearly 10,000 runs. In 40 Tests, 89 ODIs, and 74 T20Is, he scored 9979 runs with 24 centuries and 66 half-centuries.
Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson have been the ‘Fab 4’ of international cricket for the past few years.
However, Babar has put his name forward for a place on the elite panel due to his dependable batting showings in all formats. People are also comparing Pakistan’s captain to Kohli, who, despite a recent slump in form, is still one of the best players in the world.
‘I can’t understand the comparisons’: Imam-ul-Haq
Imam-ul-Haq, a teammate and friend of Babar, wants him to surpass Kohli’s run tally by 3,000 to 4,000 runs. However, Imam argued that Babar still has a ways to go before being compared to the Indian batter.
“There is no denying the legendary status of Virat Kohli. You cannot compare two players who have played 80 matches with someone who has played 240 or more.
“Babar is well ahead of Kohli in their respective careers right now, but as Pakistan’s captain and best friend, he should smash several of Kohli’s records,” Imam-ul-Haq said on SAMAA News.
“However, at the moment I find the similarities to be confusing. There is one with over 10,000 runs. Yes, in every format by the conclusion of their careers, I want Babar to score 3 to 4 thousand more runs than Kohli,” Imam-ul-Haq continued.
Having scored an international hundred over three years ago in 2019, Kohli is currently in need of runs. He was not included in the Indian team for the forthcoming T20 match against the West Indies. He may have been dropped or given a break, although the BCCI did not clarify.
