On Tuesday, December 16, the 26-year-old Australia National Cricket Team batting all-rounder Cameron Green was bought for a whopping price at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction.
The Kolkata Knight Riders broke their bank at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction to acquire the services of the all-rounder Cameron Green for INR 25.20 crore in Abu Dhabi.
Cameron Green Sold For A Huge Amount At IPL 2026 Auction
The batting all-rounder Cameron Green made a smart move ahead of the IPL Auction as he registered himself in the batters’ category.
This led to Green’s name being called in the auction in Set 1 itself and helped him bag a hefty paycheck from the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise.
Green is regarded as the next big thing in Australian cricket, and at the age of just 26, he has made a mark across Tests, One Day Internationals, as well as T20Is.
Cameron Green played for RCB and MI in IPL 2024 and 2023
The Aussie all-rounder played for two of the most successful and popular franchises - Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in his first two stints in the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL).
In the Indian Premier League 2023, he represented the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI). He scored 452 runs for the franchise at an average of 50.22 at a strike rate of 160.28 and bagged 6 wickets.
In the next season, he played for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), where he scored 255 runs at an average of 31.84 and a strike rate of 143.25. With the ball, he picked up 10 wickets for RCB.
