Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) provided a massive update about the future of the head coach, Chandika Hathurusingha. The official from the board confirmed that the former Sri Lankan player will stay with the team and will be arriving soon in Bangladesh to help the team ahead of the India Tests.

Bangladesh National Cricket Team head coach Chandika Hathurusingha recently came under the scanner. This came after Faruque Ahmed took over as BCB president, and since then, there have been a lot of changes going around in the cricket board.

With the Bangladesh Cricket Board having massive changes due to changes in government, there were a lot of speculations about the future of Chandika Hathurusinghe. Since the last few years, Faruque Ahmed has criticized the head coach a lot, and with him now taking over the head of the board, the future of the coach looks in jeopardy.

There were reports that Chandika Hathurusinghe will be having conversations with BCB after the Test series against Pakistan. However, he left the following day for Sri Lanka without meeting the new board president Faruque Ahmed.

The head coach will come, and he will be here in Bangladesh - Nazmul Abedin on Chandika Hathurusingha

With a lot of scanners over Chandika Hathurusingha's future, BCB director Nazmul Abedin rubbished off all the rumors. He said that the head coach of the team would join soon and would help the team. Speaking to Cricbuzz, he explained:

"The head coach will come, and he will be here in Bangladesh (and will guide the team against India)."

BCB director Nazmul Abedin also confirmed that Shakib Al Hasan, who has been accused in the murder case, will be playing in the Test series against India. He said that the all-rounder will be playing County Cricket and, after that, will be joining the team. He added:

"Shakib will come to India from England to play. For now, we know this much, and we want to keep it that way. There is no injury problem as far as I know. Hopefully, the whole team will be available. Shakib has gone to play County and I am hoping everyone else will be available. From September 9, the whole team is expected to practice in full swing."

I think India is a little stronger compared to Bangladesh - BCB Director Nazmul Abedin

BCB director Nazmul Abedin also talked about the upcoming Test series against the India National Cricket Team, admitting that the opposition is stronger than them. He said that if they handle the pressure as well they can win. He explained:

"I think India is a little stronger compared to Bangladesh. So whether we can play with the mentality we had against Pakistan, whether we can keep that going consistently, will be a challenge for us. The pressure we were able to apply against Pakistan may not be as easy against India. There we have to be more consistent and show more patience. But self-confidence is very important

"If we can hold it (the pressure), we have the ability to do good. Especially the power I saw in our bowling. If we can use it, then we have a good chance. We will dominate more than ever," he concluded.

The Test series between India and Bangladesh will begin on 19th September. They would be high on confidence, having beaten Pakistan 2-0 in Tests recently.
