The Universe Boss, Chris Gayle was ready to come down and have a swing as an Impact player of the RCB during their win against CSK last night.

Chris Gayle was in attendance at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium yesterday as he saw his former IPL franchise qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. The RCB, led by Faf du Plessis, defeated reigning champions Chennai Super Kings by 27 runs in front of joyous home supporters and kept their unbeaten streak alive.

In the first half of IPL 2024, RCB had gone an entire month without winning a match but come the second half, Bengaluru produced a terrific turnaround. It was a comeback that no one saw coming but the belief was always there within the unit that they could do something special. And they did qualify but at the cost of MS Dhoni and CSK getting knocked out of the tournament.

Chris Gayle's hilarious remark on helping RCB as Impact player

While speaking in an exclusive interview before RCB locked horns with CSK, Chris Gayle made a hilarious claim about helping his former team. Gayle was asked about how he feels to comeback to the City of Bangalore which has given him a lot of love and admiration for what he did for the franchise.

Chris Gayle, in his usual charismatic attitude, started off by saying that the RCB jersey still fits him perfectly. He is open and willing to help the team by going down in the middle once again as an Impact Player. The Bengaluru crowd would have definitely loved it if the Universe Boss had come down but the team didn't require his help as they carried out the job perfectly.

Talking about the fans, Chris Gayle claimed that he loved interacting with the loyal fanbase by signing autographs and taking pictures. The 2-time T20 World Cup winner then dropped the information that every RCB fan will love. Despite also representing Punjab Kings, Gayle admitted that he will forever support Bengaluru and he will forever be an "RCB Guy" out and out.

"As you can see, the jersey still fits so if they need an extra man, I can be the Impact player but like I said it's good to see the fans, it's good to take some photos with them, sign some autographs. It's just a joy to be here and support RCB forever, forever RCB fan and I will forever be an RCB guy as well." - Chris Gayle said on RCB's official X account.
