Former T20 World Cup winner and stalwart of Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara is all praise-worthy for the former RCB duo AB de Villiers and former captain of RCB Virat Kohli. The duo was a force to reckon with as they knew which bowlers to target. Due to the inception of IPL, we have seen that there has been good camaraderie between Indian players & foreign stars.

One of the dangerous duo Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers has made the game more interesting & entertaining. RCB franchise got famous because of these two cricketers. They played cricket together from 2011-2021 and dominated for a decade. It wasn’t easy to get rid of that partnership as they played smart cricket and were quite ruthless.

Kumar Sangakkara’s Witty Reply

Legendary Batter Kumar Sangakkara was doing a Questions & Answers Session with Meta 11. He was asked which three cricketers could fuse into one and his reply was quite awesome.

AB de Villiers & Virat Kohli A Phenomenal Pair

It won’t be wrong to say that these two batters were the pillars of RCB’s batting lineup. AB & Virat would rue the fact that they weren’t able to cross the finish line in the 2011 & 2016 seasons.

Virat Kohli has amassed 6624 runs for RCB in 223 matches where he smashed 5 hundred and 44 half centuries. AB has scored 4491 runs in 156 matches where he struck 2 centuries & 37 half centuries for RCB from 2011-2021.

The duo has been involved in five 100+ partnerships and two 200+ runs partnerships. Many Cricket Fans remember their lethal performance against Gujarat Lions in 2016 where the batters were involved in 229 runs partnerships and the way they thrashed the opposition team was a treat to watch.

AB had a below-par season in 2021 according to his credentials as he scored 313 runs where he scored 3 half centuries. AB de Villiers wasn’t a part of the 2022 edition but Virat and AB have confirmed that he would return in some capacity to return to RCB in the 2023 edition which would do wonders for the franchise.
