CSK injury list grows! Ramakrishna Ghosh RULED OUT of IPL 2026 after foot fracture vs MI
PC: X

The Chennai Super Kings' campaign has been jolted on multiple occasions with injuries in this edition of the TATA IPL 2026. They have lost many of their star players either before the start of the season or midway through the season.

Even the legendary MS Dhoni is yet to play a game for the Super Kings, despite reports claiming that he has completed his rehabilitation and is seen in the CSK nets working hard to hasten his comeback. Amid all this, the Men in Yellow camp have faced yet another massive blow.

However, CSK have some positives as well, with their skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad looking in good touch with two consecutive fifties in the last two games and Sanju Samson having scored some runs at the back of those two centuries. Kartik Sharma has also scored some runs in the last chase against the Mumbai Indians.

Big Blow to the Men in Yellow: CSK all-rounder ruled out of IPL 2026

The CSK side has gained some momentum in their campaign but have suffered another staggering setback in this edition of the IPL as bowling all-rounder Ramakrishna Ghosh gets ruled out after his debut game against MI at Chepauk.

It has been reported officially that he has suffered a fracture to his right foot and will no longer be part of the CSK camp for the rest of the season. CSK confirmed it with an official post on their official page on X.

Players who have been ruled out for CSK in IPL 2026

Nathan Ellis was the first to be ruled out for the Chennai Super Kings, as a result of which Matt Henry started the season for the Super Kings. The Australian was supposed to be their main bowling aid after Matheesha Pathirana's departure.

Spencer Johnson, his replacement, also missed half of the season, while Dewald Brevis was not part of the initial matches for CSK. MS Dhoni has not played a single match after having picked a calf injury at the start of the season.

Khaleel Ahmed was ruled out from the season just when he had started to set a bowling partnership with the highest wicket-taking star Anshul Kamboj. Ayush Mhatre has also been ruled out for the rest of the season, after the 18-year-old played some truly fine knocks at the start of the season.

Can CSK still qualify for the IPL 2026 playoffs?

The Chennai Super Kings are the five-time champions of the IPL and have made it to the playoffs for double the number of times they have won. But all these records are under the veteran skipper MS Dhoni, who has reached the twilight of his career.

Super Kings have lost five matches and have won four so far in this season. They are currently on the sixth spot and have a high amount of chances to make it to the top four if they can hold on to their winning streak.

With five matches left in the season, an all-win scenario will take them to 18 points, which will be more than sufficient to take them into the playoffs, while even 16 points with four more wins can also give them a fair chance for their first playoffs since 2023.
