Rasheed, on the other hand, hasn't made the most of his opportunity in the last few matches for Chennai Super Kings and has failed to get a big score under his belt.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Dewald Brevis, MS Dhoni (C, wk), Deepak Hooda

The opening duo of Rasheed and Mhatre will be followed by Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja, who will bat at number three and four, respectively, for the Chennai Super Kings.

Curran was able to come good with the bat with an attacking half-century against PBKS after the team was in trouble, having lost a couple of early wickets while batting first.

The left-hander would look to replicate the performance in the next match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at their home ground.

Chennai Super Kings would be somewhat satisfied by the batting effort of Ravindra Jadeja against RCB as the experienced all-rounder scored his second half-century of the ongoing season and stitched a crucial partnership for the third wicket.

Having said that, CSK would want Jadeja to finish the game in the upcoming clash against KKR, which he wasn't able to do after getting his eye set against RCB.

One of the biggest positives for Chennai Super Kings this season has been the form of South African batter Dewald Brevis. The right-hander has been able to contribute in two of the three aspects so far.

Bowlers: Noor Ahmad, Matheesha Pathirana, Khaleel Ahmed, Anshul Kamboj

CSK would be disappointed with the way their fast bowlers, especially Khaleel Ahmed, bowled against RCB. The left-arm pacer was taken to the cleaners by Romario Shepherd, who clobered him for 33 runs in an over.

Having said that, MS Dhoni, captain of the CSK, would be happy with the performance of Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana against RCB, who had been ineffective in the middle overs till then.

Pathirana's lack of form is one of the reasons for CSK's poor performance in the 18th edition of the league, as they became the first team to be eliminated from this year's tournament.

The duo of Noor Ahmad and Ravindra Jadeja bowled well in the middle overs against RCB and picked up wickets to stem the flow of runs, and would like to carry the form in the next match against KKR.
