Daryl Mitchell goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

Daryl Mitchell has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. The right-handed batsman played for Chennai Super Kings in the last edition of the IPL.
The New Zealand star's journey in the IPL began with Rajasthan Royals in 2022. In his debut season, Mitchell played only 2 games and scored 33 runs. In the 2023 auction, he failed to find a single bid and went unsold.
Daryl then had a stunning campaign with the bat in the 2023 ODI World Cup. He scored 552 runs at an average of 69.00 and a strike rate of 111.06 in the marquee event and caused a bidding war in the 2024 auction.
In the end, Chennai Super Kings secured his services. The five-time IPL champions signed up Mitchell for a whopping amount of INR 14 crore. Mitchell played 13 games in IPL 2024 and scored 318 runs with the help of two half-centuries.
