Athiya Shetty, the wife of cricketer KL Rahul, posted a cryptic message following a conversation between Rahul and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka. Athiya Shetty's post has sparked speculation and discussion among fans on social media platforms on the internet.

Last week, the Super Giants faced a 10-wicket defeat against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH). They are in seventh place in the table, with 12 points and a net run rate of (NRR) -0.769. They must win their remaining two league matches to maintain their chances of reaching the playoffs.

Following their defeat to Hyderabad, there was an animated discussion between KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka. A video of this interaction went viral on social media. Fans and pundits have been particularly vocal about the owner's handling of the player in public, labelling it unnecessary.

Athiya Shetty Shares A Cryptic Post

Athiya Shetty, Rahul's wife, posted on her Instagram story after the viral interaction between KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka. Athiya shared an image of the sun breaking through clouds with the caption, "The calm after the storm."

Athiya and Rahul tied the knot in 2023 after dating for nearly five years. Their wedding occurred at Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala. They exchanged vows on January 23 in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends in Mumbai.

There are reports circulating about KL Rahul considering stepping down from captaincy for the Lucknow Super Giants' final two IPL 2024 league matches. Additionally, there are speculations about Rahul's potential departure from the team for the IPL 2025.

I See No Problem In A Robust - Lance Klusener

LSG assistant coach Lance Klusener downplayed the significance of the discussion between Rahul and Goenka, describing it as a minor issue. He emphasized that disagreements are normal among cricket enthusiasts and stated that such incidents are not a big concern.

"I see no problem in a robust discussion between two cricket lovers. For us, it is a storm in a teacup. It's not a big thing for us," Klusener said in the pre-match press conference on Monday ahead of their clash against the Delhi Capitals (DC).

Klusener expressed confidence in Rahul's abilities, noting that he has shown quality performance throughout the tournament and is capable of delivering exceptional results in the upcoming matches.

"It is a long competition, it has been documented that very few batters have gone through 15 or 16 games playing better at some stages than others KL has proved that he is quality and I don't think he has played bad at all at the moment. I think we have so much high expectations from him and I think he is a game away from blowing open for us," Klusener added.

KL Rahul is the highest run-scorer for the Lucknow Super Giants in the tournament. The right-handed batter has scored 460 runs in 12 innings with an average of 38.33 and a strike rate of 136.09. However, Rahul was overlooked for India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.
