DC vs LSG: Watch - Nicholas Pooran comes up with 'flying kiss' celebration after slamming half-century

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) keeper-batter Nicholas Pooran single-handedly kept his team in the hunt in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Delhi Capitals (DC). The game between the two teams is taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. 

In the chase of 209 runs, Lucknow Super Giants looked in trouble at the start. They lost 4 quick wickets and were reeling at 44/4. It seemed that they would get all out early but it wasn't the case as Nicholas Pooran stood tall for his team at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. 

Nicholas Pooran looked unfazed by the wickets falling at the other and played his natural aggressive game. He took the attack to the bowlers and made sure he scored some quick runs for his team, putting the opposition under pressure in the crucial game. 

Nicholas Pooran played magnificent shots in his innings and timed the ball to perfection throughout his innings. The Caribbean batter didn't get the desired support from the others but even after that he took the onus to himself and slammed a valiant half-century. 

What caught the attention of many was his celebration after he reached the half-century. Nicholas Pooran, who reached the milestone in just 20 balls, came up with a 'flying-kiss' celebration at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and raised his bat.

However, after the half-century, Nicholas Pooran couldn't carry on as he perished after scoring 10 more runs. The batter perished to Mukesh Kumar in the 12th over. With his wicket, the hopes of Lucknow Super Giants to win almost dented. 

Nicholas Pooran ended with an innings of 61 runs off 27 balls for his team at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. He batted with a strike rate of over 225 and also slammed 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. With his wicket, Lucknow were left at 101/6.

I got going it started to flow - Tristan Stubbs 

Earlier with the bat, Delhi Capitals posted a big total of 208 runs on the board. One of the major reasons behind that was Tristan Stubbs. The batter played a magnificent innings of unbeaten 57 runs off 27 balls and powered his team to a gigantic total. 

Tristan Stubbs while talking about his innings claimed that it was tough when he walked out to bat but admitted that after get got himself in, he was in full flow. He also talked about playing in front of a big crowd and while talking to broadcasters, he explained: 

"It was quite tough when I walked in. I could not get myself on some intensity, but once I got going it started to flow. I always feel like I can give myself a bit of time and then catch up. You never know on this ground, but it is stopping a bit and hopefully, it is enough. Just playing in front of so many people is incredible," he concluded.
