Deandra Dottin Signs WBBL Deal With Adelaide Strikers

The Adelaide Strikers have signed Deandra Dottin, who just announced her retirement from international cricket, to a contract for the upcoming Women’s Big Bash League.

The former all-rounder for the West Indies ended her international career after claiming that there were issues with “the team culture and environment.”

Deandra Dottin, a talented all-rounder for the West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team, has announced her retirement from international cricket. She highlighted the team culture as the reason for her decision.

Dottin was the first player to score a century in WT20Is history. In the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 match against the South African Women’s National Cricket Team, she scored a fantastic century. At Warner Park in Basseterre, the star all-rounder scored an undefeated 112 runs. Her 38-ball tons was also the quickest in WT20Is.

Deandra Dottin has represented Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat in the competition:

To play domestic cricket wherever in the world, she said she would continue to be available. Dottin has played for Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat in the league, scoring 424 runs and capturing 17 wickets over 29 games.

“Deandra is a match-winner who will bring big-game experience and elite performance to Adelaide this summer, “With more than 250 international appearances across T20 and ODI cricket, including multiple World Cups, as well as caps in the Hundred and WBBL, Deandra will be a fantastic addition to our squad,” said Strikers head coach Luke Williams.

“I cannot wait to travel to Adelaide and participate in the WBBL once more. I hope I can add to The Strikers’ excellent performance and help them go the additional mile to win the championship. With my new teammates, I can not wait to meet all the spectators and put on a show for them,” Noted Dottin.

In WODIs and WT20Is, Deandra Dottin finished second in terms of runs scored for the West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team.
