CSK seamer Deepak Chahar's sister Malti Chahar has hit out at a particular section of RCB fans who were abusing the Chennai players and their families.
The online abuse and the rift between CSK and RCB's fan base is the after-effect of what had happened when the two teams locked horns with each other. Ruturaj Gaikwad's side just needed to win the match to squeeze through to the playoffs, even one point was enough but Bengaluru's victory was written in the stars that night.
Ravindra Jadeja, who was the hero for Chennai Super Kings during the 2023 IPL final in Ahmedabad, failed to deliver 10 runs off 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium 2 weeks ago. All the Bengaluru players dispersed all over the ground with raging emotions and the fans in the crowd erupted as if the hopes were still alive for a league win in 2024.
The reaction of RCB players, most notably Virat Kohli, was almost as if they had won the Indian Premier League trophy. There's no denying the effort they had put in to come together and go 7 matches unbeaten, but the reaction was a bit too loud. Virat Kohli, known for his victory celebrations, felt a different level of pump after beating CSK and that didn't land well with the fans.
On social media, CSK fans swarmed posts about Virat Kohli and RCB being ungrateful and disrespectful towards MS Dhoni. The Yellow Army mainly targeted Bengaluru for their celebrations after only qualifying for playoffs.

Malti Chahar prays for RCB fans' mental health

That was always going to trigger a reaction from the RCB fans and their online trolling of CSK players and their families has been called out by Malti Chahar. The sister of right-arm seamer Deepak Chahar, who remained injured half of the season, took to X and highlighted the social media trials Chennai players are going through with a lot of fans targetting their families via fake profiles.
Malti Chahar sarcastically prayed for the mental welfare of the social media users who are spreading hate towards the CSK camp. Malti said she empathized with the fake account users and wished that they could do something more productive with their time and also asked for blessings for them.
"It’s really funny how people are abusing CSK players and their families on social media…mostly with fake profiles! I empathise with these faceless people..hope they recover and do something productive with their time and energy! God bless them!" Malti Chahar wrote via X.

How did the fans react to Malti Chahar's tweet?

Fans did not fail to miss out on expressing their views on Malti Chahar's tweet. One user claimed that people who target CSK players and their families are actually Virat Kohli fans who abuse their idols on the field. Another user would hit back at Malti Chahar by claiming that she wants to gain popularity by getting into the CSK Vs RCB rivalry on social media.
