The Indian Women's Team won the ICC Women's World Cup for the first time in their history, and emotions seemed to flow uncontrollably among the players after the historic moment. In a moment of consolation and extreme joy, Arundhati Reddy kissed all-rounder Deepti Sharma.
The Indian Women's victory not only brought World Cup glory to the nation after a void of nearly one and a half decades, but also gave the Women in Blue a taste of success for the first time. Celebrations often do not have any limitations or boundaries, as they are driven by emotions.
Every cricketer has celebrations of their own; the Indian male cricketers celebrated their T20 World Cup victory in some of the most bizarre moves. Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakravarthy were among the most interesting celebrators.
Uncontrollable emotions overpower as Arundhati Reddy kisses Deepti Sharma in joy
As the women in blue players won the World Cup with a joint effort from all their players, they celebrated with the girls hugging each other after the win. Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, and Pratika Rawal all made significant contributions.
Deepti Sharma, however, remained the highlight of the World Cup with both bat and ball. An Instagram post marked Arundhati Reddy, the Indian pacer who replaced Pooja Vastrakar in the team, hugging Deepti Sharma and kissing her.
A form of celebration that the cricket fraternity is not much adapted to looking at, since men cricketers do not celebrate in this fashion. However, for women in general, such celebrations should not stir up any controversy or social media buzz, as they are an outflow of pure emotions.

A glimpse at Deepti Sharma's irresistible performance in the World Cup
Deepti Sharma remains India's most veteran star in the 2025 ICC Women's World Cup squad. The all-rounder proved her experience in both departments as she contributed either way every time India won or got close to a win in the World Cup.
Deepti amassed 215 runs in 9 games, coming in at no. 6 or below in the batting order. She scored three half-centuries, the joint highest in the tournament. With the ball in hand, she picked a whopping 22 wickets in the tournament and had a five-wicket haul under her belt.
Deepti Sharma was awarded the Player of the Tournament
Deepti picked up a five-wicket haul in the final of the World Cup, which further restricted the Proteas women from chasing the huge target set by the India Women. During India's batting innings, Deepti was the second-highest scorer with a run-a-ball 58-run innings.
She dismissed Laura Wolvaardt to end all hopes for the Protea women and cleaned up the tail to wind up the work for Women in Blue. For her commendable all-round show, she was awarded the Player of the tournament, resembling Yuvraj Singh's Player of the Tournament award when India last won the World Cup in 2011.
