The Delhi Capitals have reportedly decided to part ways with Indian batters Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The Delhi franchise will be focusing on acquiring fresh talent to strengthen the team for the upcoming season.
The Delhi-based franchise had a disastrous campaign in the last edition of the tournament, finishing in ninth place in the 10-team points table. The team managed to secure just five victories out of 14 matches. The team also made changes to their coaching staff.

Rishabh Pant Will Play In The IPL Next Season – Sourav Ganguly
Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals Sourav Ganguly provided a positive update on Rishabh Pant‘s recovery, stating he will participate in the IPL 2024. Ganguly said that Pant won’t be practicing at the trials, but he is expected to be in even better shape by January.
“He’s (Pant) good now. He will play in the IPL next season. Rishabh won’t be practicing here though (at the trials). There’s still time for him to get down to practice. By January (2024), he’ll get even better,” Ganguly said.
“We were talking about the team. He is the captain, so he put in his views regarding the upcoming auction. That’s the reason he has come here, to finalize certain aspects related to the team,” he further added.
