Popular radio jockey and social media star RJ Mahvash paid a heartfelt tribute to Yuzvendra Chahal after his heroics helped Punjab Kings (PBKS) to pull off a thrilling 16-run victory in the 31st match of the ongoing IPL 2025 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Mullanpur on April 15.
Yuzvendra Chahal once again proved why he’s one of the most dangerous spinners in IPL history, as the seasoned leg-spinner returned with a four-wicket haul to not only help Punjab Kings return to winning ways after the SRH hammering but also script history in the IPL.
Yuzvendra Chahal gets a ‘Legend’ tag from RJ Mahvash after a stunning spell against KKR
It was a low-scoring match where Punjab Kings could only manage 111 runs, and it seemed like the game was slipping away from their hands against the Kolkata Knight Riders. But everything turned around when Chahal was brought into the attack in the eighth over in Mullanpur.

Right from his first delivery, Chahal made a difference by dismissing Ajinkya Rahane with an LBW decision that raised a few eyebrows. Even though replays suggested the ball may have hit Rahane outside the off-stump, the KKR captain decided against taking a review and walked off.
However, Rahane later accepted that it was his own mistake. Well, Chahal didn’t stop there. In his next over, the star leg-spinner sent young Angkrish Raghuvanshi back to the pavilion. Then, in his third over, he struck twice in two balls, dismissing Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh.

However, Andre Russell fought back with some powerful shots in Chahal’s final over, but the spinner had already done enough damage that KKR could not recover and were bowled out for just 95 runs inside 15.1 overs, handing the PBKS the 16-run win in the IPL 2025 clash at home.
Chahal finished with impressive figures of 4 wickets for 28 runs, but what made his performance even more special was that the leg-spinner was playing with a slight shoulder problem, but still delivered when his team needed him the most. His latest four-wicket haul helped him climb to the top of the all-time IPL wicket-takers list, with a total of 211 wickets.
RJ Mahvash calls Yuzvendra Chahal a ‘Legend’ after PBKS vs KKR clash
After the PBKS vs KKR IPL 2025 match, RJ Mahvash took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to Chahal. Mahvash, who recently attended a PBKS match in Chandigarh and posted several photos from the stands on social media, yet again showed her support for Chahal, fueling further speculation about their rumored romance.
Amid rumors of their relationship, Mahvash shared a selfie from her last visit to Chandigarh and called the Indian leg-spinner a “legend.” Taking a dig at Chahal’s critics over his recent bowling performances, she hilariously praised the spinner for being the highest wicket-taker in the IPL.
Sharing a selfie with Yuzvendra Chahal, Mahvash said on her Instagram stories, “What a legend, man. Highest wicket taker for IPL for a reason. Asambhav”
Notably, this was the 8th time Chahal has taken four or more wickets in a single IPL match. With this, the star leg-spinner has equaled KKR star Sunil Narine’s record. Both Chahal and Narine now have seven four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul each in the IPL.
