England captain Ben Stokes suffered the most comedic dismissal during the second Test against Pakistan, leaving fans and commentators in laughter at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.

In a bold attempt to send Pakistani spinner Noman Ali’s delivery soaring over the boundary for six, Ben Stokes completely miscalculated his shot in the 28th over of England’s second innings.

As he stepped out of his crease, the England all-rounder lost not only his bat but also his balance, sending the wooden weapon flying far from his grip. With Ben Stokes now out of the picture, Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan made the most of the hilarious moment by swiftly stumping the England captain, leaving the crowd roaring with laughter.

Stokes was himself seen in disbelief at what had happened at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Later, a Pakistani player collected the bat and handed it over to the star all-rounder, and that’s how his comeback match turned into a hilarious outing.

Stokes was steadily batting at 37 runs off 36 balls when the incident broke out in Multan. However, Noman Ali spun his magic before the England captain turned on his dangerous mode, as they bowled out for just 144 runs to suffer a 152-run defeat against Pakistan in the second Test.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes has apologized to his teammates for showing frustration during the third evening of the second Test against Pakistan in Multan. As the match began slipping from their grasp due to multiple dropped catches and fielding errors, the England captain acknowledged his outburst, admitting he acted like a "tired and grumpy old man."

I'm very annoyed at myself: England captain Stokes

Actually, Brydon Carse saw two straightforward catches dropped—first by Jamie Smith off Salman Agha and then by Joe Root at first slip. Stokes’ frustration peaked when Jack Leach misfielded, leading to an unnecessary single, and he could not hide his emotions.

Ben Stokes said after the match in Multan: “I actually apologized to the group up there last night. It's the first time in my captaincy that I've let my emotions show in my body language, with how I was feeling as the game was unfolding. I owned up to that, and I'm very annoyed at myself for letting that out.”

He signed off by saying, “It's something that I don't want to do or be seen to be doing. No one means to drop catches, but it just proves how important catches are out in these subcontinent conditions because they don't come along that often. So, I apologized to the group and said that was poor of me. I was a tired and grumpy old man last night. You won't see that happen again.”
